Ordering

How long will it take to receive my order?

All made-to-order products have a 2–3 week lead time.
Items listed under our Ready to Ship section will ship out right away.
Need something sooner? Reach out—we may be able to accommodate rush requests!


What’s included with a Tabletop Lamp?

Each Tabletop Lamp comes with:
– A frosted acrylic base
– An 8.5 ft cord with an in-line rotary switch
– A complimentary 40W LED bulb

To change the bulb, simply lift the stained glass shade off the base—no tools required.


What’s included with a Hanging Lamp?

Each Hanging Lamp includes:
– A 15 ft fabric-wrapped cord with in-line switch, designed to plug right into the outlet and hang swag style from a hook in the ceiling. 
– A complimentary 40W LED bulb

Customers often pair their hanging lamp with our Hook & Anchor Set and a Cord Stay for a tidy, secure swag-style installation.

Many customers also choose to swap out the included bulb for one that better suits their lighting needs. That’s totally fine—just be sure to use LED bulbs only, as our lamps are not compatible with incandescent bulbs.


Can I get my lamp hardwired?

Absolutely! We offer a hardwire-ready option for an additional $100.
This includes:
– A white ceiling canopy
– 4 ft of your lamp’s pictured cord color

Just select “Deliver Hardwire-Ready” at checkout.
Please note: hardwired lamps do not include a bulb. We recommend a 60W or brighter dimmable LED bulb, and suggest having your electrician install a dimmer switch for full brightness control.

What canopy and cord colors do you offer?

Canopy finishes:
– Polished Copper (shiny like a new penny)
– Solid Raw Brass
– Brushed Nickel
– Matte White

Cord colors:
Just about any color you can imagine! If you have something specific in mind, leave a note at checkout and we’ll send you options.

Note: Some customizations may incur additional fees. If so we will alert you via email, and invoice for the remaining balance if necessary. 


Do you offer cordless options for your lamps?

Yes! Cordless lamps include two rechargeable, battery-powered LED bulbs.
Each bulb lasts 6–9 hours on a full charge, so we recommend keeping one charged as a backup.

Cordless is perfect for:
– Lighting a dark corner without an outlet nearby
– Adding a lamp to a table in the middle of the room—no tripping hazards
– Homes outside the U.S.—no worries about outlet compatibility
Off-the-grid living or anywhere you want portable, plug-free light


Will my lamp look exactly like the photos?

We use handmade glass, which means every sheet has its own beautiful, unique variations. Slight differences in color or pattern are part of what makes each piece one-of-a-kind.

If a specific glass is unavailable and our closest alternative looks noticeably different, we’ll email you photos before beginning production to ensure you're happy with the choice.

shipping & TRACKING INFORMATION

We ship all orders via UPS or USPS, depending on your selection at checkout. Shipping rates are based on package size and weight, but our website sometimes miscalculates shipping costs for multiple items. If your shipping price seems too high, feel free to reach out—we can always invoice you directly.

Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable. Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with a tracking link (if applicable) so you can follow its journey to you.


ORDER CANCELLATIONS

You have up to 48 hours after you place your order to cancel if you change your mind. If you discover you need to cancel or alter after 48 hours just reach out to us ASAP. If we haven't begun production on your order we can be flexible.


PROMOTIONAL DISCOUNTS

All orders placed with a promotional discount are final sale.
You cannot combine promotional discounts.
Promotional discounts do not apply to previously placed orders.

 
IN-STORE PICK UP

Local Philly customers can choose to hold items for pick

up at our Philadelphia, PA studio free of charge. An appointment is required to pick up, we will email you to schedule as soon as your order is ready.

 
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Our website is currently only set up to ship to addresses within the United States.  If you live outside the United States, and want to place an order, please get in touch with us via email at friendofallglass@gmail.com and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

returns

All of our products are made to order, so we are unable to accept returns at this time.

If you're in the greater Philadelphia area, we recommend scheduling a showroom appointment. If you're not local, we can provide photos and videos to help you make an informed decision.


DAMAGED PACKAGES: We thoroughly inspect each piece prior to shipping to assure that item will arrive in pristine condition. It is imperative that the lamp is opened and inspected immediately upon receiving it. We will happily refund any damaged merchandise if claimed within 5 days of receipt.

If item arrives damaged:
- Please contact us at friendofallglass@gmail.com within 5 days of receipt of item to qualify for full refund.
- If damages are not reported within 5 days of delivery, the customer is no longer eligible for a refund, free repair or replacement product.
- Images of damage to the item and external box are required when you contact us in order for us to make a claim with the mail carrier.
- Please take care when mailing any items back to us. We cannot be responsible for any damages that occur during transit due to improper or insufficient packaging. We can provide detailed directions for safe packing if need be.

 
CUSTOM pieces

Are you interested in having a custom piece made? We do all sorts of custom pieces: lights in different colors, windows, space dividers, whatever you need! We believe each project is unique and deserves a custom quote. You can read more about the process and fill out a questionnaire to begin your inquiry here.


PRODUCTION

Every product we create is an original design by our founder, Flannery Cronin, and is handmade in our Philadelphia studio by Flannery and her small but mighty team of 3–5 talented artisans—plus our friendly studio pup!

We craft each piece using the copper foil technique, a method that minimizes lead content for a safer studio environment and a safer item for your home. Because everything is made to order, our designs are highly customizable. We regularly collaborate with interior designers, architects, and homeowners to create one-of-a-kind pieces tailored to their spaces.

If you have a specific vision in mind, we’d love to bring it to life!


PAYMENT

This site accepts the following forms of payment: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Paypal. We also offer payment plans via afterpay.

TAXES

We’re headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, so we’re required to collect sales taxes from our Pennsylvania-based customers. The prices displayed on our website exclude sales taxes. If you’re in Pennsylvania, sales tax will be calculated and added to your order total when you check out.
